In last week’s blog, Brit talked about a few strategies for managing daily stress. One of those strategies was listening to podcasts. If you have never listened to podcasts, it can be quite overwhelming trying to figure out where to start. Below, I have provided a few podcasts that could be a good place for you to start listening!
Closing in on 300 episodes, Barbell Shrugged provides a large variety of information related to all things health and fitness. These episodes have topics ranging from sleep quality, to movement mechanics, and psychology as well. Each episode features experts in the field, sometimes including our favorite CrossFit athletes. If you enjoy health and fitness, you are bound to enjoy this podcast. Recently they hosted Quinn Henoch, who is a physical therapist and weightlifting coach. He discussed various mobility drills and tools to help pull athletes into better positions.
Joe Rogan Experience
This is quite possibly the highest rated podcast of all time. With close to 20,000 reviews and still maintaining 5 stars, the Joe Rogan Podcast is the most diverse of its kind. The podcast has a back catalog of over 1,000 episodes and each one is as entertaining as the last. You can scroll through to find a topic that suites you but after a couple of episodes you will likely be hooked.
Do Go On
Each week, one of the three hosts reads a prepared report on a famous, or infamous topic. Some of their previous topics include: The Wright Brothers, Harry Houdini, Coca-Cola, and the Roswell Conspiracy. These three Australians always manage to keep things light and interesting
If Joe Rogan is not the highest rated podcast ever, then Serial certainly is. This podcast follows a slightly different format and operates in seasons. Each season follows a different criminal case with each episode leaving you on the edge of your seat. If you enjoy crime dramas and documentaries, then this is the podcast for you.
